The restriction in Ontario is on the RECORD TYPE, not on the requester. Any record that includes an address, and the driver's licence history, are restricted - and DriversAbstract sells neither.

- The ministry's OTHER records are slower: 15-15 business days, processed and then posted (checked 2026-09-04). That figure is widely and wrongly quoted as the turnaround for this product. It is not.

### Records the ministry sells that this site does NOT sell

- Three-year driver record, certified (with the ministry's seal): $18.00, by post within 15 business days. Not sold here: It is the same information with a ministry seal on it, and the seal is the reason it cannot be instant: ontario.ca states a certified order "will be processed within 15 business days and then sent by regular mail via Canada Post". Selling a 15-business- day postal product alongside an instant emailed one under a single price and a single turnaround would misstate both. If a court has asked for a certified copy, order it from the ministry directly.

- Five-year driver record: $12.00, online, immediately. Not sold here: The ministry sells it online at the same $12 as the three-year record. We do not offer it yet, and the honest reason is that the requester rule has only been confirmed in the ministry's own words for the THREE-year record - "Anyone can order a 3-year driver record if they provide a driver's licence number." No equivalent sentence has been found for the five-year one, and the whole model rests on that sentence, so it is not sold until the same evidence exists.

- Driver's licence history: $12.00, online, immediately. Not sold here: Restricted by the ministry, not by us: a driver's licence history "can only be ordered by the driver themselves or by a Canadian law enforcement agency". We are neither, so there is no version of this we may sell at any price.

Three things: your Ontario driver's licence number, the email address the record should go to, and the province or state you live in. No name, no date of birth and no address - ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation) finds this record from the licence number alone, and your card details are entered on our payment processor's own page, never on ours. Fifteen characters, one letter then fourteen digits, shown on your licence as A1234-56789-01234. It is the only thing the ministry needs for this record.
