How it works
We prepare and check your request against ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation)'s own published rules, and we pay its fee. ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation) then emails the result straight to you. Nothing passes through us.
-
You give us one number, and an address to send it to
Your Ontario driver's licence number. That is the only thing ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation) needs to find this record, so it is the only detail about you we ask for. The other two are an email address - the ministry sends the record there, and so does our receipt - and the province or state you live in, which decides which privacy rules apply to your order. No name, no date of birth, no street address.
-
We check it before anything is paid
A Ontario licence number has a fixed shape - fifteen characters: one letter followed by fourteen digits - and we check yours against it before you reach the payment step. The ministry’s own ordering page does not check the number for you, and a mistyped one is charged for either way. Catching it first is the work.
-
You pay once
One charge, from us, covering our fee and the $12.00 ministry fee together. You will not see a separate charge from ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation) — we pay that ourselves, out of our own account, as a cost of doing the job. Your card details never reach the ministry and never reach us; the payment runs on a hosted checkout page.
-
We submit it, and ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation) emails you the record
There is nothing for you to post and nothing for us to post. We file the number you gave us and pay the fee, and the ministry sends the PDF straight to you, normally within a day. Nothing physical exists at any point in this, in either direction.
What we will not do
- We never receive, hold or post anything of yours. There is nothing to lose.
- We never log in as you and we never sign anything as you.
- We do not promise to be faster than ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation). It issues this record immediately whichever route you take, so there is nothing to be faster than, and anyone claiming otherwise about this record is selling you a story.
- We do not sell the records the ministry restricts — anything showing an address, or a driver’s licence history. Those are not ours to sell at any price.
Where your licence number goes
Into an encrypted field, used once to place the order, and deleted on a 30-day clock that runs whether or not anyone remembers. It is stored and processed in the United States, where courts, law enforcement and national security authorities may access it under US law — you are told that at the point you type it, not afterwards. The privacy policy sets out the whole of it.
If ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation) refuses a request for something our check should have caught, or we get its form wrong, you get everything back including its fee. The full refund policy.
